Det henger en engel alene i skogen by Samuel Bjørk is the first book in the Holger Munch and Mia Krüger series. When the body of a young girl is found hanging from a tree, the only clue the police have is an airline tag around her neck. It reads, "I'm traveling alone." In following up, police investigator Holger Munch is the first to be charged with assembling a special homicide unit. In assuring the best of the best, he must track down his former partner,  Mia Krüger, a brilliant but suicidal detective. Reviewing the case file, Mia finds a clue: the number 1, etched into the girl's fingernail. With a new serial killer at hand, Mia knows she must find a way to cast aside her own demons to save future children from the same fate.
