Short Stories & Conversation - IN-PERSON
SHORT STORIES & CONVERSATION
This intensive language class is designed for intermediate learners looking for opportunities to explore a variety of literary genres including folk tales, poems, excerpts from novels and songs, and scripts. Think of it as a weekly book-talk with shorter books!
Language exercises may include small introductions to Norwegian dialects and Nynorsk, Swedish/Danish, and slang/Kebabnorsk along with the predominately Norwegian Bokmål. meant to spark new conversations each week. We’ll add in word lists and grammar topics as they come up, to add on to the work you’ve already done and review the tougher subjects for fluency.
This course does not require any purchased texts, though there will be weekly readings and esearch homework involved to keep conversation going. Expect a welcoming (and forgiving) speaking environment and reading that will push the comfort zones of intermediate learners.
